About the School
Set on 81 acres just outside of Nanyuki, Kenya, Three Rivers Academy is a new secondary school that opened in May 2022. For many years the three spiritually-based primary schools in Kenya had hoped for a high school where their students could continue their education in the same atmosphere. Three Rivers was opened to serve the graduates of those schools and other families who want this type of inspired education.
The school started small, using buildings already on the property while construction of boys' and girls' dorms, an academic building, and a dining hall/multi-purpose room were completed. Current enrollment is about 180 students; eventually Three Rivers will enroll 300 students in grades 7-12.
The motto of the school - Love Good. Be Good. Do Good.- reflects the school's emphasis on character education, while at the same time offering the Cambridge curriculum, a rigorous, internationally-recognized academic program. The administrators, teachers, and staff see every student as the perfect child of God with unlimited ability. Every member of the Three Rivers community is loved and valued and encouraged to realize their full potential. This view of the students has resulted in the school being recognized for the strong character of its students and for excellence in academics, athletics and other co-curricular activities. The school's core values of responsibility, integrity and kindness permeate all the activities of the school.
